Venla Luxe Consignment Terms and Conditions

Welcome to VENLA Luxe, where we specialise in assisting you with the sale of your luxury brand accessories. By consigning your items with us or making a purchase, you agree to the following terms and conditions. Please read them carefully before proceeding.

Items We Accept

  1. Luxury Accessories Only
  2. VENLA Luxe exclusively accepts luxury brand accessories, including:
    • Bags
    • Shoes
    • Sunglasses
  3. Please Note: We do not accept clothing, watches, or jewelry.
  4. Condition Requirements
  5. All items consigned must meet the following conditions:
    • Excellent condition, with no significant wear or damage.
    • Must be clean, odourless, and free from any alterations.
  6. Inspection and Final Approval
    • All items will undergo a final inspection by our team once received in-store.
    • Items that do not meet our condition standards will not be accepted for consignment.

Consignment Process

  1. Submission of Items
    • Once your items are approved, they must be dropped off in-store or posted to us within 7 days.
    • If posting your items, please email the tracking details to luxe@venla.com.au.
    • VENLA Luxe only assumes responsibility for items once they have been physically received at our store.
  2. Packing Slip
    • Ensure the completed packing slip is included with your consignment items.
  3. Processing Time
    • Allow up to 5 business days for processing once your items have been received.
  4. Pricing Approval
    • Once pricing has been determined, you will be notified for your approval.
    • You must confirm pricing within 5 business days. If no response is received, we will assume the pricing is approved and proceed with the consignment process.

Shipping Policy

  1. Shipping within Australia Only
  2. VENLA Luxe only offers shipping within Australia. At this time, we do not ship internationally.
  3. Shipping Costs
    • Purchases $1,000 and under: Flat shipping fee of $30.
    • Purchases $1,001 and over: Flat shipping fee of $60.
  4. Delivery Timeframes
    • All orders are processed and dispatched within 1-2 business days of purchase.
    • Please allow an additional 1-2 business days for handling on top of the shipping time frames.
  5. Tracking Your Order
  6. Tracking details will be emailed to you as soon as your order has been dispatched. Please ensure the email address you provide during checkout is accurate.
  7. Store Pickup
  8. Customers can opt to pick up their purchases from any VENLA store at no additional cost. Simply select the "Store Pickup" option at checkout.
    • You will receive a notification once your order is ready for collection.
    • Please collect your order within 7 business days of receiving the notification.

Returns, Refunds & Exchanges

  1. All Sales Are Final
    • Please note that all purchases are final, and VENLA Luxe does not offer returns, refunds, or exchanges for change of mind or incorrect purchases.
    • We encourage customers to carefully review their selections before completing their order.
  2. Faulty Items
    • If you receive an item that is faulty or damaged, please contact us via email at luxe@venla.com.au within 7 days of receiving your order.
    • Include the following details in your email:
      • Your full name and contact details
      • Order number
      • Description of the issue
      • Photos of the faulty or damaged item (if applicable).
    • Once your return request has been approved, you must return the item to us within 7 business days.
  3. Return Shipping for Faulty Items
    • For approved faulty items, VENLA Luxe will cover the cost of return shipping.
    • Faulty items will either be repaired, replaced, or refunded, depending on availability and the nature of the fault.

Consignment Terms

  1. Consignment Start Date
    • The consignment relationship begins once the items are physically received at VENLA Mosman, the consignment agreement is signed, and pricing is finalised.
  2. Delivery Requirements
    • For items delivered via courier or post, the delivery must require a signature upon receipt to confirm delivery. Please ensure items are sent to the correct address and during VENLA business hours.
  3. Consignment Period
    • The consignment selling period is 6 weeks, starting from the date the item is posted on our website.
    • Please note, there may be a short delay between the agreement date and the item being listed for sale to allow for styling and photography.
  4. Ownership
    • Items remain the property of the seller until sold.
  5. VENLA’s Responsibility
    • VENLA Luxe is responsible for any loss or damage to items while they are under our care.

Commission Structure

  1. Commission Rates
  2. VENLA Luxe takes a commission on all sold items as follows:
    • 30% commission on items priced under $3,000 (seller receives 70%).
    • 25% commission on items priced $3,001 and over (seller receives 75%).
  3. Price Adjustments
    • VENLA Luxe will always strive to sell items at the agreed-upon price.
    • If items have not sold within 4 weeks, we may reduce the price by up to 20% with your prior consent.

Authentication and Fees

  1. Authentication Requirements
    • If an original receipt or other approved form of authentication is not provided, VENLA Luxe will authenticate your item(s) using a trusted third-party authentication service.
  2. Authentication Fees
    • Authentication fees range from $45 - $100 per item, depending on the brand and item, and are at the seller’s expense.

Payments

  1. Payment Timeline
    • Payments for sold items will be made to the seller 3 weeks after the item is sold.
  2. Payment Method
    • Payments will be made via the payment method specified during the consignment agreement process.

Change of Mind

  1. Service Fee for Withdrawal
    • If you decide not to consign your items with us after they have been priced, a service fee of $50 per item will apply.
    • This fee is in addition to any cleaning or authentication charges that may have already been incurred.

Lost or Stolen Items

  1. VENLA Luxe Responsibility
    • During the consignment period, VENLA Luxe assumes responsibility for any lost or stolen items.
    • In the event of loss or theft, the seller will be compensated the agreed sale price (less the commission).
  2. Courier/Post Responsibility
    • VENLA Luxe only takes responsibility for items after they have been signed for as received. Any loss or damage during transit is the responsibility of the courier or postal service.

Returns and Unsold Items

  1. Unsold Items
    • Items that remain unsold after the 6-week consignment period will be returned or donated to charity.
    • An email notification will be sent to the seller advising them to collect any unsold items.
  2. Collection Timeline
    • If unsold items are not collected within 10 days of the email notification, they will automatically be donated to charity on your behalf.
  3. Return Shipping
    • If you request unsold items to be returned by mail, the return shipping cost will be at your expense.

Final Notes

  1. Amendments to Terms
    • VENLA Luxe reserves the right to amend these terms and conditions at any time. Sellers are encouraged to review them periodically.
